Redlynch State College
Yesterday we observed and participated at Redlynch State College (7th -11th grade). We went to learn about their HPE classes (Health, Physical Education). We broke up into groups and saw many different types of HPE classes throughout the school day. Their school day consist of four 70 minute lesson, a lunch and tea time. School starts at 8:50 for homeroom then 9 o’clock for 1st lesson then another lesson then all the students go to lunch at the same time which lunch is 45 minutes long then another lesson then tea time for 30 minutes then the last lesson. We all noticed that the students come to school early to play outside with their friends. All of the students seemed to be excited to be at school. During lunch the students even played games and also during tea time. All of the students seemed to enjoy their HPE lesson time. The students were excited that we were visiting their school and had tons of questions to ask us. We also asked them many questions about Australia and thier school. Most students were very well behaved and very welcoming to vistors. They even asked if we could come back to their school. Most of us led a warm-up during the lessons and even participated and played games with the kids. The school was in a valley between two mountains (which they said were hills to them, mountains to us). The primary school was right across the street which was grades P-6th grade. We all enjoyed the experience to visit an Australian school!
